楓葉教育的特色便是楓葉英語教育。在楓葉,學生們不僅學習英語,更學會如何用英語學習、用英語思考。在楓葉,我們創(chuàng)建積極的英語學習環(huán)境,重視培養(yǎng)學生的各項英語能力,讓學生像學習母語一般學習英語。
Unique Curriculum
楓葉英語由中、加教師聯(lián)合授課;開設上海牛津英語及楓葉英語教材。楓葉英語教材注重閱讀和寫作,單詞量為4500—5000個。英語科學課1500—2000個單詞,而的三年單詞量總計為1700—2000單詞。
Students in Maple Leaf are taught by both Chinese and Canadian teachers.We adopt Oxford English and Maple Leaf English as our textbooks.Maple Leaf English emphasizes reading and writing withvocabularies,vocabularies for English Science.Yet,the amount of vocabularies for public school students isfor the entire 3 years.
開設加拿大《科學》(Science)課程,引進原版英文教材,由海歸經(jīng)驗教師授課,是國內(nèi)獨有的校本課程,旨在實現(xiàn)與楓葉高中加拿大全英文教材。
We offer Canadian Science course and introduce the original textbooks fromCanada,all science teachers have overseas experiences.The course is unique in Chinawith an aim to set a solid foundation and transition into Maple Leaf international high schools.

Courses of Maple Leaf Middle School integrate with all English Canadian courses of senior high school’s“Double language,double degree”.Middle School sets all the national courses together with special courses.Students’progress and performance obtain wide recognition from parents.

Leading Teaching Method
楓葉實施“英語分級教學”模式,根據(jù)學生不同的英語能力,分為班、平行班、進行分層教學,因材施教,使學生聽、說、讀、寫。
Maple Leaf carries on the mode of“Graded English teaching”which includes fundamental class,parallel class and advanced class.The individualized quality education enables students to achieve all-round improvements in listening,speaking,reading and writing.
楓葉使用上海版牛津英語教材以及楓葉英語教材。這兩套教材均采用任務型教學模式編著。在英語教學中,教師采用任務型教學法,層層遞進,環(huán)環(huán)相扣,螺旋式進行教學。有助于學生英語學習興趣,夯實學生的英語能力。
Maple Leaf junior high school adopts Oxford English and Maple Leaf English as its textbook.These two textbooks are written according to the TBLT method.We use TBLT method to teach English.In this way,we can inspire students’learning interest and improve students’English ability.

在英語課堂上,我們根據(jù)教學內(nèi)容設定幫助學生完成教學任務的各項活動,每年的“英語藝術節(jié)”系列活動,提供給學生們一個舞臺,展示多方才藝,強烈的體現(xiàn)了學生對于中西文化的理解。這樣既能保持學生的英語學習熱情,同時還能培養(yǎng)學生的英語輸出能力,讓他們學會用英語去學習,用英語去思考。
We set various English learning activities according to the teaching content.The annual“English Art Festival”embodies students’understanding of Chinese and western cultures with their various talents and skills.Students can keep their interest on English and also can train their output ability.They learn to use English to study and to think.
每周舉行英語俱樂部活動,培養(yǎng)學生用英語的能力,開設英文電影配音、演講、英文歌曲等俱樂部。
English club is held every week for students to train their English abilities.More than 10 English clubs are offered including English drama,movie dubbing,English poster design,speech and English songs,etc.
